Biography of Mr. Hermann Feudjio
Hermann Feudjio is a mining engineer (Mining Engineer II) for the mining company Freeport McMoran, one of the world's leaders in copper mining in Arizona (USA), where he begins a new challenge, after leading BASF's mining operations, a world leader in chemistry in Quebec and Eastern Canada. He has 8 years of experience including 4 in the Canadian mining industry and 4 in Africa in responsible natural resource development. His experience of mining has given him the opportunity to travel regularly on various mining operations, including across Canada, the United States and Europe, which has enabled him to gain remarkable experience of different mining practices and legislation.
A graduate in mining engineering from Laval University (Canada), Hermann Feudjio also holds a Master's degree in business management from the Catholic University of Central Africa and a graduate degree in diplomacy. He studied sustainable development from February 2023 at the MIT (Massachussetts Institute of Technology) in Boston, USA. He is also co-founder of the Afro-Miner Association, an organization made up of African-Canadian mining engineers, which aims at excellence, leadership, good governance and the emergence of future African-born managers in the global mining industry. One of the organization's main objectives is to provide quality human resources for the African mining industry.
