Training and support programme in entrepreneurship in the field of fashion and design for start-ups and enterprises run by
The BAH (Black Advisory Hub) and Odyssée Startup Incubation and Support Programme – Taama, from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Mali – Association, is launching the second cohort of their youth support program under the Government of Canada's Black Entrepreneurship Program. Title: « Dali fashion and design ». Dali in Bambara, the national language of Mali, means weaving, symbolizes the Malian cultural heritage in the fields of textiles, fashion and interior decoration, ecology, environmental protection and job creation. The program aims to improve the employment and income situation, particularly for women, youth, Malian men, from the diaspora, black, living in Canada in Quebec, Nunavut, Winnipeg and Vancouver in particular. This program of training and accompaniment in fashion and design entrepreneurship focuses on the circular economy, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and innovation in the processes of fashion and design creation and commercialization. Products will be made from natural and sustainable resources, including cotton, earth-based natural dyes, tree bark and hand-made by artisans and fashion designers.




The aim of the training and support programme in fashion and design entrepreneurship is to:
- To introduce young people to fashion and design;
- Defining and developing the fashion creation strategy and design
companies and start-ups; - Structure technical and production development;
- Integrate sustainable, responsible and ethical production patterns into
the value chain of fashion and design; - Developing resources, knowledge, know-how and partnerships
techniques; - Promoting the products of creators and designers
