Biography of Mr. Lassana GUINDO

Mr Lassana GUINDO Technical Adviser at the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water of Mali Mr Guindo has over 30 years of experience in the mining sector. He has held the position of Technical Adviser at the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water since May 2014. He has held various positions in the Ministry of Mines, including the position of National Director of Geology and Mines and Head of the Mines Division. He has also worked as a geologist of exploration at the National Directorate of Geology and Mines and as a geophysicist at the National Directorate of Hydrological and Energy. He also held the position of Project Manager in an initiative focusing on the evaluation of semi-precious stones.
Mr. GUINDO graduated as an engineer at the National School of Engineers in Bamako, Mali, where he specialized in mining geology. He has undertaken applied geophysics studies at the Lausanne Institute of Geophysics in Switzerland and mining and mineral deposit modelling studies at the International Institute of Mining Technologies in Japan (MINETEC). He also carried out studies in the application of satellite images at the National Center for Space Studies in Toulouse, France, of studies on Mining Governance in Western Australia.
