The activities of the Committee of Experts

In concrete terms, the current and medium term activities are:
  • Support for the re-reading of the Optimum Investment Plan (PDIO) drawn up in 2015 to include renewable energy including the National Plan for Rural Electricity PNER,
  • Support for the implementation of the Energy Efficiency Programme, including the establishment of a testing laboratory for household appliances, cookers, etc. and a labelling system for electrical appliances according to the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards
  • Increased use of sustainable energy sources such as:
    • The manufacture and assembly of effective LED light bulbs
    • Solar energy: manufacture/assembly of solar panels
    • Solar drying technologies for agricultural products
    • Electricity generation from hydrogen potential in the Malian basement
    • Modern biomass: production and marketing of fuel briquettes and improved stoves
    • Biogas and biofuels: developing and promoting technologies for reducing wood-energy consumption
    • Cleaner and resource-efficient production in industries (ISO 50001 series and ISO 14000 series).
